What Backly collects

Your Sign in with Apple identifier (and the email Apple shares, which may be a private relay address), your budget settings, and the account balances, credit-card statement details, and purchases you choose to connect through Plaid.

How it's used

Only to show your spending, your allowance, and which card earns the most. Backly doesn't sell or share your data and doesn't show ads.

Bank connections

Connections go through Plaid. Backly never receives your bank username or password; Plaid's access tokens are encrypted at rest.

How long data is kept

Your data is kept only while your account exists. Disconnecting a bank deletes that bank's accounts and purchases from Backly and revokes Backly's access at Plaid.

Deleting your data

Settings → Delete Account permanently deletes your account, disconnects every bank at Plaid, and erases your synced data immediately. You can also email the address below.

Security

Sign-in is through Sign in with Apple. Bank access tokens are encrypted at rest, data is encrypted in transit, and the database isn't reachable from the internet.
